Bhubaneswar: Tarang Cine Productions’ much awaited film ‘Bala- The Rhythm of Life’ was released in theatres across Odisha today. The premiere of the film was held at Jayashree Cinema Hall in Cuttack.

“A movie on the topic of baldness has not been made before. Thanks to Tarang Cine Productions and everyone who made this possible,” said actor Samir who plays the lead role in 'Bala.'

Movie lovers appreciated the subject of the movie and praised the makers for choosing to highlight the plights of bald men through 'Bala.'

“This movie will act as a great medium to create awareness against stigmatisation of baldness. Even those who look down upon bald people will refrain from doing so after watching the movie,” said a moviegoer.

As per reports, special provisions were made during the premiere of the movie for visitors with baldness condition. They were given a free entry and a chance to sit near the actors and enjoy the premiere show.

Bala, which highlights the plight and demands of a young man who suffers from premature balding, has been directed by Amar Pati and features actors Samir, Ananya and Divya in lead roles. The story of the movie is based on men suffering from baldness taking up the cudgels seeking special reservation and inclusion in differently-abled category.

Coincidentally, two Bollywood movies ‘Bala’ and ‘Ujda Chaman’ based on the same concept of baldness are slated to be released on November 7 and November 8, respectively.

Earlier, makers of the Odia movie 'Bala- The Rhythm of Life’ had said the story was conceptualised last year in October. The trailer of the film which was released a few weeks back has already got a censor certificate.

On October 5, 2018, the title was registered at Utkal Cine Chambers Of Commerce. Due to the demise of well-known actor Salil Mitra and other reasons, release of the film was delayed.
