Bhubaneswar: Be it the recent brutal rape and murder of a minor girl in Kotagarh in Kandhamal or any other incident of sexual assault on girls, there has been no let up in such atrocities in Odisha.

Tarang Cine Productions has now come forward to create awareness on such acts of violence against minor girls through a movie based on real life incidents. The film ‘Khusi’ is an attempt by Tarang Cine Productions to create awareness against sexual abuse of children.

“Everyday incidents of children being sexually abused are being reported which is a shame for the society. The survivors undergo tremendous trauma and it also affects family members. We want to create awareness through this movie,” said director Tapas Sargharia.

Khusi, is not a fictional story, but it is a story based on the horrific incident that completely shook a family after their girl was subjected to sexual assault.

The movie is reportedly a story of several unspoken emotions and suffering which the parents of the survivor undergo after the heinous crime.

“Time has forced us to raise our voice against such heinous acts,” said actor Mihir Das.

Apart from Mihir Das, child artists Ashiwarya, Kumar Aditya and Kabya Kiran and other eminent actors will be seen in the movie which will hit theatres next month.

“Khusi will be released on November 14 and we hope that audiences will accept such realistic cinema,” said creative head of Tarang Cine Productions, Ranjan Satpathy.
