Paradip: A wild animal, suspected to be a leopard, reportedly strayed into the premises of LPG terminal in Paradip of Jagatsinghpur district last night triggering panic among the security guards and workers.

According to sources, some security guards and workers of the terminal spotted the animal moving on the premises and alerted police and forest department officials. Soon the forest department officials and police rushed to the spot and launched a search operation to trace the animal.

Pugmarks were found on the premises of the terminal. However, it is yet to be ascertained whether those pugmarks were of a leopard or any other animal.

“We spotted a large animal. We suspected it to be a leopard. We saw the animals four times near the boundary wall,” said a local resident.

Meanwhile, some security guards said they again spotted the animal coming out of the terminal premises at around 3.30 AM today.
