Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government today extended the summer vacation of all schools including privately run ones till June 25. As per the previous schedule, the schools were supposed to re-open tomorrow, but due to prevailing heat wave conditions, the vacation was extended.

The extension of the vacation was officially announced by School and Mass Education department secretary, Pradipta Mohapatra.

The State government had also declared summer vacation earlier than scheduled from April 18 in view of intense heat wave.
