Sub-registrar in soup for sending lewd messages to woman

Bhubaneswar: The sub-registrar of Gop in Puri district landed in trouble after a woman filed a complaint at Khandagiri Police Station today accusing him of sending lewd and abusive messages. As per allegations, Prabhat Tarai, the Sub-Registrar of Gop, had allegedly sent the messages on social media.

Sources said the woman used to be a student of Tarai, who was earlier the headmaster of a school in Kakatpur of Puri district. The duo became friends on social media and often used to have conservations.

"Despite being my teacher he is sending lewd messages to me on Facebook" alleged the woman.

On the other hand, Tarai refused to comment on the matter citing health issues. Based on the complaint, Khandagiri Police has started an investigation into the matter.

Police Commissioner, Satyajit Mohanty said "Action will be taken based on evidence collected during investigation."
