Bhubaneswar: A month and half after taking charge as the president of the Odisha BJP unit, Basanat Panda on Sunday announced his new team.

As per the announcement made at the party’s state headquarters office here, the new team has four general secretaries, seven vice presidents and 10 secretaries and a treasurer.

While Sarada Satpathy has replaced Prasanna Mishra as the organisational secretary, Pravati Parida and Tankadhar Tripathy have been appointed as the president of the BJP Mahila Morcha and Yuva Morcha respectively.

Besides, Sivaji Mohanty, Rabi Nayak (MLA), Gobinda Das (MLA), Sk Mahatab Mohammad and Krushna Chandra Patra have been appointed as the president of Krushak Morcha, ST Morcha, SC Morcha, Minority Morcha and Other Backward Caste (OBC) Morcha respectively.

The four general secretaries are Bhrugu Buxipatra, Prithviraj Harichandan, Ranjan Patel and Anant Nayak.

Though there is a constitutional provision of 10 vice presidents, the party has announced the names of seven vice presidents. They are Samir Mohanty, Rajkishore Das, Sukeshi Oram, Nayan Mohanty, Bishnu Sethi, Namita Sahu and Aswini Sarangi.

The 10 secretaries of the new team are Dilip Mallick, Jatin Mohanty, Dhiren Senapati, Simantini Jena, Sovana Mohanty, Sabita Nanda, Bibhuti Jena, Sisir Gamang, Kalindi Samal and Lekhasri Samantsinghar.

Sudarsan Goel of Rourkela has been appointed as the Treasurer.

Besides, the state BJP chief has also appointed four spokespersons. They are, Sajan Sharma, Sudipta Ray, Golakh Mahapatra and Dilip Mohanty.

Apart from this, the saffron party has also announced a list of 38 permanent invitees.

They are Union ministers Jual Oram and Dharmendra Pradhan, KV Singhdeo, Biswabhusan Harichandan, Manmohan Samal and Suresh Pujari (ex-state BJP presidents), Giridhar Gamang (ex-chief minister), Dilip Ray (MLA and former Union minister), Bijay Mahapatra, Jayanarayan Mishra, Samir De and Surama Padhi (former ministers), Pradip Purohit, Bibhuti Bhusan Harichandan, Nitish Gangadeb and Duryodhan Majhi (all sitting MLAs), Rama Chandra Panda (former Deputy Speaker), Mohan Majhi (former Deputy Chief Whip), Surendra Kumar Lath, Rudra Narayan Pani, Parsuram Majhi, Sangita Singhdeo, Kumudini Patnaik and Rudra Madhab Ray (all former MPs), Pratap Sarangi, Mohammad Rafiq, Kandra Soren, Sidharth Sekhar Singh, Jitendra Mitra, Karendra Majhi, Sarangdhar Kadraka, Prasanna Patnaik, Sanchita Mohanty, Bhaskar Madhei, Subas Panigrahi, Shankar Oram, Susama Patel and Baidhara Mallick (all former MLAs).
