Khurda: Someone has rightly said that love has no language and it's just a communication between two hearts. Ratnakar of Bantapalli village of Ganjam and Rashmita of Tentulidihi village of Khurda walked down the extra mile to prove their love for each other. Both of them are deaf and mute and fell in love with each other a few months back.

The couple tied the nuptial knot recently and people in large numbers attended the marriage ceremony which was unique in all respects.

"Both my daughter and the boy wanted to marry each other following which we solemnised the marriage," father of the bride, Dasratha Mahapatra, said.

The marriage ceremony was attended by villagers, friends and relatives of the couple.

"We all are very happy as such a marriage is unique and will inspire others to extend support to the specially abled persons who are also the part of the society," Babrubahan patra, a relative of the groom said.

A local resident Basant Kumar Nayak said,"The marriage was an example set to attempt to bring neglected people of the society to the mainstream. We are very happy to be part of such a unique marriage in Banpur."

A social activist Sandhyarani Barik said, "Fighting all odds, the couple proved that they can also love the society even if they don't get the same love from the society."
