Bhubaneswar: The State government on Monday notified the schedule for the special Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) to fill up vacant seats in various private engineering colleges.
While the counseling of students who had qualified in the OJEE-2018 held in May started today, the special OJEE will be conducted for the seats that would be falling vacant.
As per the notification, the special or second OJEE would be conducted on July 22 while the results will be published on July 25.
The online application process will start from June 25 and continue till July 13 and the last date for online application fee payment is July 15.
The online registration for counseling, choice filling will start from July 27 while temporary seat allotment will be done by July 30.
Verification of documents of students at nodal centers will be conducted on August 1 while final seat allotment list will be published on August 3.
The Odisha government in March this year had decided to conduct special OJEE every year.
The special OJEE is aimed at filling the vacant seats as well as provide an opportunity to the students of interior, rural and tribal areas who fail to apply or appear JEE (Main), sources said.
