Bhubaneswar: The comet Neowise officially called C/2020 F3 Neowise which has been capturing a lot of eyeballs in the last few weeks is also visible in Odisha skies.
As reported, sky-watchers across India are getting the spectacular view of the rare comet from cloud-free areas using either space telescope or binoculars from July 16.
Malaya Patra from Jeypore of Koraput district had successfully captured an amazing picture of the passing comet in his camera on July 17 at around 7:30 PM.

Deputy Director of Pathani Samanta Planetarium Dr Suvendu Pattnaik also claimed that some employees at the planetarium had also got the glimpse of the comet on July 16 and 18.
As per Astrophysicists, the comet is visible for such a longer time as its glaze is higher than earlier assumptions. The comet will be more clearly visible in skies of Odisha from July 20-24 and people can experience the celestial event if the weather permits so.
As per sources, the comet will be clearly visible on July 20 at 7:30 PM at an altitude of 14 degree towards northwest, exactly below the Ursha Major (Saptarshi Mandal).
The rare comet will be visible to naked eyes till July 30 and will reappear after 6,800 years when it will get closer to earth again.
