Shops, establishments get 15-day deadline for Odia signboards

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has directed shops and commercial establishments to display their signboards in Odia language within next 15 days.

A high-level meeting regarding this was held under the chairmanship of Development Commissioner R. Balakrishnan in the state capital on Tuesday.

The Odisha Assembly in May this year passed the Odisha Shops and Commercial Establishments (amendment) Bill-2018 making Odia language mandatory on signboards on shops and business establishments in the state.
