Bhubaneswar: With 2019 elections barely a couple of months away in Odisha, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is leaving no stone unturned to infuse energy and galvanize party organization as party's national president Amit Shah, before winding up his Odisha visit, held a ‘secret’ meeting with party leaders of the state today.

Away from the media glare, Shah reportedly discussed several key issues with Odisha BJP leaders in a closed-door meeting which lasted over 4 hours and also reviewed party’s position in all the assembly constituencies.

“People in Odisha want change and BJP president’s message is clear to unite people to achieve Mission 120-plus seats,” said BJP national secretary, Suresh Pujari.

Shah will also be visiting the State in the second week of February. BJP heavyweights Rajnath Singh and Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath are also scheduled to visit Odisha.

While addressing a public meeting yesterday, Shah targeted Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik by calling him a ‘fuse transformer.’

“People of Odisha have faith on CM Naveen Patnaik as he keeps his promises. It is under Naveen Patnaik’s leadership that Odisha is on development path,” said BJD spokesperson, Sameer Dash.

“Both BJD and BJP leaders are misleading the people of Odisha by accusing each other,” said Congress leader, Tara Prasad Bahinipati.
