Seven human skulls recovered in Puri

Puri: Sea Beach police today intensified probe after seven human skulls were recovered from an isolated place behind Kamala Devi Maternity hospital near Ghoda bazar area. Sources said, the human skulls stuffed in a bag were dumped by an 'unknown' miscreant.

The incident came into light after locals spotted the skulls in gunny bag and alerted police.

"After getting information, our team reached the spot and seized the bag. We have already started investigation and the miscreant involved in the incident will be nabbed soon," said a senior police official, Biswajit Senapati.

Senapati further informed that as there is a graveyard near the hospital, such incidents were also reported in the past. However, a detailed investigation will be conducted and the skulls will be sent for forensic examination.
