Bhubaneswar: Tight security arrangements will be put in place in several places across Odisha, ahead of President Ram Nath Kovind’s scheduled two-day visit to the State on September 27 and 28.
As per reports, the security arrangements were reviewed at a high-level meeting chaired by Director General (DG) Of Police BK Sharma today.
“As per the tentative schedule, President Ram Nath Kovind will be arriving at Bhubaneswar on September 27. After a one- night stay in Bhubaneswar, President Kovind is scheduled to attend a function in Berhampur on September 28,” said Sharma.
Sharma further informed that all the security arrangements will be made as per the provisions of the ‘Blue Book.’
Senior officials of Odisha Police including IG Operations, airport authorities and other stakeholders were also part of the preparatory meeting.
