Bhubaneswar: The second phase admission into MBBS and BDS courses to fill vacant seats at various medical colleges across the State will begin today. The admission process will continue till August 18.

Admissions are being conducted to fill vacant seats at eight medical and two dental colleges of the State.

On first day, the admission into MBBS seats will take place at SCB Medical College in Cuttack from 10 am to 1 pm and MKCG Medical College in Berhampur from 2 pm to 5 pm.

In case any seats remain vacant after the second phase admission, spot counselling will be conducted between August 21 and 22.

It may be noted that the first phase admission was held between July 5 and 9 and classes for the session 2018-19 have already started from August 1. As many as 989 students from the State and 130 students under the All-India Quota seats took admission during the first phase.
