Sarpanch murder: Pujari demands CBI probe

Sambalpur: BJP national secretary Suresh Pujari today demanded a CBI probe into the murder of former Sarpanch and RTI activist Parashuram Pradhan of Charmarda village in Naktideul block of the district.
Speaking at a presser, Pujari said that he has written to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik asking for a CBI probe into case.
“This is a complex case that involves massive corruption at panchayat level. The charges of corruption were proved through RTI by Pradhan and a vigilance case was registered. .A few days later he was shot dead. There is more than what meets the eye,” said Pujari.
“Many important persons are involved in this case and the truth will be known only if there is a proper inquiry,” said Pujari .

Earlier in the day, Pujari met the family members of the deceased, the district collector and SP regarding the incident. Meanwhile the cops have arrested two persons in connection with the case. Four others involved in the case are yet to be nabbed.
