Bhubaneswar: It was another noisy day inside the Odisha Assembly as all the three major parties- Congress, BJP and the ruling-BJD created ruckus over different issues of the State following which the Speaker adjourned the proceedings of the House till 11:30 am today.

At the beginning of the session, BJP legislators wearing black gowns raised the issue of Cooperative bank loan scam demanding an explanation from the minister of the ruling party.

Similarly, the Congress raised the issue of lawyers' agitation, alleging that due to State government’s inaction, proceedings at the High Court and other lower Courts have been affected.

"The High Court has remained closed for the last 20 days and the lower courts too are closed for nearly a month. It is unfortunate that the State government is unable to resolve the issue," senior Congress leader Tara Prasad Bahinipati said.

On the other hand, legislators of ruling-BJD created ruckus inside the House objecting a video posted on Twitter by one of Baijayant Panda’s friend Abhijit Iyer on Konark Sun Temple claiming that the video is promoting communalism and also denting the image of Odisha. This apart, they alleged that the chopper of Jay Panda flew in the ‘no flying zones’ over Puri Srimandir, Konark Temple and Chilika Lake.

Later, the BJD MLAs staged a dharna near the Gandhi statue inside the Odisha Assembly premises protesting against Baijayant Panda and Iyer for allegedly making distasteful remarks on the Sun Temple.

Meanwhile, senior BJP leader K V Singhdeo said, "The BJD should first demand arrest of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for flying helicopter over Chilika.”
