Bhubaneswar: The chief of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Mohan Bhagwat arrived in the State Capital on Tuesday on a three-day Odisha visit. He will attend the annual meeting of Akhil Bharatiya Karyakari Mandal (ABKM) beginning Wednesday.

The meeting will be held on November 25 and 26, which will be attended by top functionaries of RSS from Odisha, West Bengal and Andaman and Nicobar. As many as 35 top office bearers from the three regions will take part in the meeting.

The RSS head will review the welfare activities undertaken by the 'Swayamsevak' during the coronavirus pandemic situation.

The meeting will also feature livelihood of people, education and health care during the pandemic.

Annual calendar for 2021, programmes and training for the swayamsevaks will also be finalised in the meeting.

Organisational activities like plans of expansion and training of karyakartas will also be a part of the meeting. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the RSS chief has no public engagement or meeting during his visit to the State, sources said.
