Bhubaneswar: A day after RTI activist Pradeep Pradhan alleged a string of land scams during the current dispensation in the State, Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) president Niranjan Patnaik today demanded a court-monitored probe into the allegations.
Patnaik said that there should be an impartial, court-monitored investigation into the Rs 20,000-crore land scam allegations brought against the Odisha government. He tweeted, "There have been many allegations against the BJD govt of having carried out a Rs 20,000 crore land scam. As per reports, ‘the govt has suppressed information about the scam’."
He further said, "If this is true, it would be fair to say that this govt has become the den of corruption. There must be an impartial, court monitored probe into this shocking scam by Naveen Patnaik government."
