Bhubaneswar: The South Eastern Railways has rescheduled several trains on Kharagpur-Bhadrak section due to maintenance work and train traffic disruption following collapse of a railway overbridge near Sobharampur in Balasore district yesterday.

As per the revised schedule, Falaknuma Express will leave Howrah at 1.15 pm today instead of 7.25 am due to late running of link train. Similarly, Howrah-MGR Chennai Mail will leave Howrah at 12:15 pm today instead of its earlier rescheduled timing of 5:30 am. The train was scheduled to leave Howrah at 11:45 pm on December 29.

Puri- Howrah- Puri Shatabdi Express will remain cancelled both from directions today due to abnormal late running of link train.

Howrah-MGR Chennai Central which was slated to depart Howrah at 11.45 pm on December 29 has been rescheduled and will leave at 5.30 am today.

It is worth mentioning here that a portion of an under-construction overbridge near Sobharampur in Balasore district collapsed on railway tracks yesterday. The overhead electric line was damaged in the mishap disrupting train services in the Balasore route. Though there was no report of casualties or injuries, train traffic was later restored.
