Bhubaneswar: Minimum temperature is rising in several parts of the State since the last few days providing some respite from the cold wave conditions.

The Regional Meteorological Department in Bhubaneswar informed that the temperature is likely to register further rise in the State from tomorrow.  Apart from one or two places in the interior and western parts of the State, temperature could increase in the next 24 hours in most parts, the Met department said.

Recent temperature recordings stated that there has been a significant abatement in the cold wave condition that prevailed in coastal parts of the State a few weeks ago.

The minimum temperature was above 15 degrees Celsius in Puri and Gopalpur last night, while mercury was above 12 degrees Celsius in several places including Paradip, Chandbali, Balasore, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Baripada and Malkangiri.
