Nayagarh: A recruitment racket which duped aspirants of money on the pretext of providing jobs abroad was busted in Nayagarh district of Odisha following the arrest of 3 persons today.

As per reports, one Rabi Padhi had opened a recruitment consultancy called Swaradhan at Laxman Nagar in Nayagarh town. Padhi reportedly collected Rs 60,000 each from unsuspecting job seekers of Bheteswar village under Banapur Police limits of the district promising them of lucrative jobs in foreign countries. After collecting the money, Padhi stopped receiving calls triggering suspicion among the aspirants, who then lodged a complaint at Nayagarh Police station, following which the police launched a probe and arrested three employees of Padhi's consultancy firm.

Padhi had reportedly provided fake passports and visas as well to the aspirants for foreign travel.

Subrat Kumar Mishra, who was allegedly duped by Padhi said, "We are 35 such people from Banapur area. Padhi had taken Rs 60,000 from each of us to provide jobs in Malaysia."

"Padhi had promised to send us to Malaysia on November 22. But when he stopped communicating with us, we went to police to lodge a complaint against him," added Subrat.

However, Padhi is still absconding, informed sources.
