The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has promoted Rabi N Mishra as the executive director (ED) of the central bank. Previously, Mishra was the principal chief general manager of the bank’s risk management department.

After taking charge as the Executive Director, Mishra will handle the newly-created specialised supervisory and regulatory cadre inside the RBI, reported Business Standard.

Apart from that, Mishra will be supervising cooperative banks and the non-banking financial companies, the report added quoting sources.

There are 12 executive directors of RBI including the chief financial officers. According to media reports, Mishra hails from Mahendra Pur Shashan in Dhenkanal.
