Berhampur: At least 37 students of Ravenshaw University in Cuttack were injured after the bus in which they travelling overturned near Taptapani Hanuman temple in Ganjam district.

According to reports, as many as 59 students of the premier educational institution were on a picnic to Taptapani and the mishap occurred while they were returning. Though the exact cause behind the accident is yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that the bus overturned after its brakes failed.
However, the driver of the bus is absconding after the incident.

Following the accident, all the injured students were rescued by local police and officials of the Odisha Fire Services Department.

Meanwhile, all the injured, who have sustained multiple injuries, have been admitted to Digapahandi hospital. The condition of seven students is said to critical.
