Puri: Millions congregated in the pilgrim town on Friday to witness Bahuda Yatra, the homecoming of the Holy Trinity. Today, the sibling deities of Puri Srimandir- Lord Balabhadra, Lord Jagannath and Devi Subhadra will be adorned with gold ornaments also known as the Suna Besha (Raja or Rajadhiraja Besha) atop their respective chariots in Puri.

All the preparations have reached final stages as lakhs of devotees are expected to throng the pilgrim town for the Suna Besha of the deities, informed senior officials of Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA).

As per the schedule, Suna Besha rituals will start at 4 PM today while Sandhya Dhupa and Chandan Lagi rituals will be conducted at 8 PM and 12: 30 AM (tomorrow), respectively.

Elaborate security and traffic arrangements have been made by Odisha Police for crowd management and smooth conduct of Suna Besha of the annual Rath Yatra festival.
