Bhubaneswar: Odisha's Anvesh Subham Pradhan was one among the 32 Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (PMRBP) awardees who joined Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the virtual interaction at 12 PM today.
Special arrangements were made at the Khordha Collectorate for the video conference and Anvesh Subham's parents were also present with him during the live session.
Anvesh Subham, a Class IX student of Chandrasekharpur DAV school in Bhubaneswar, has bagged the Bal Puraskar this year for his outstanding scholastic achievement.
"I am happy to have got the opportunity to join PM Modi in the live interaction session. I never expected that I would receive the national award. I would like to thank my teachers, friends and well wishers who motivated me right from my childhood. I am grateful to my parents who sacrificed many things and motivated me which helped me excel in scholastics field," said Anvesh Subham on his experience after interacting with the PM.
However, the PM could not interact with Anvesh Subham personally as he had to curtail his conversation due to time constraints.
Speaking about the mantras he received from the PM during the interaction, he said "The PM encouraged us to work for the development of the country and urged all the children to stay humble all the time as the award was just a token towards the beginning of our career."
"He advised us to spread awareness about sanitisation and Covid-19 protocols amid the ongoing pandemic. I will definitely strive hard to spread the PM's message," added Anvesh Subham.
"Besides, the PM also called upon for manufacturing indigenous equipments to boost sustainability which will not only be cost-effective but also take the country towards development," he said.
A native of Ambithi under Hindol block of Dhenkanal district, Anvesh Subham has received more than 570 awards and wants to study in the IIT. His father Manas Ranjan Pradhan works as the Assistant General Manager of SBI, Sambalpur branch while mother Jharana is a homemaker.
