Cuttack: For sweet lovers, nothing could be more exciting than a seemingly unending platter of delectable Rasagolas and other sweetmeats at one place. Rasagola Mahotsav 2020, organised by Odisha Television Network (OTV) at Bali Jatra Upper Ground in Cuttack, was a treat that for Rasagola enthusiasts.

The unique initiative to promote Odisha's iconic sweet, rasagola was as successful as its previous two editions and the occasion was even more sweetened by the recent christening of the sweet with the Geographical Indication tag.

Myriad mouth-watering avatars of rasagola along with famous sweetmeats like Chhenajhili, Rasabali, Palua Ladoo, Chhenapoda and Chhena Kakera were brought to the mahotsav by traders from different parts of the State.

“We had opened stalls at the festival during the previous editions which were held in Bhubaneswar. This year in Cuttack, we witnessed huge footfall and business was good,” said a trader.

Speaking about the event, Co-founder and Managing Director of Odisha Television Ltd (OTV), Jagi Mangat Panda said, “We have successfully organised Rasagola Mahotsav in Bhubaneswar two times before and this year, the response in Cuttack is even better. We are now thinking that it should be extended for 3 days.”
