Rape Attempt On College Girl In Bhubaneswar; Accused Arrested

Bhubaneswar: A house painter was arrested for allegedly attempting to rape a college girl in the Capital police limits area of Bhubaneswar late last night.

As per reports, the accused tried to gag the girl and attempted to outrage her modesty while she was out to attend nature’s call last night. However, the girl managed to raise an alarm following which the accused fled the spot.

Later in the night, the girl lodged a complaint at the Capital Police Station following which the cops immediately launched a manhunt and nabbed the accused from Akhandalamani slum of the city.

According to police sources, the accused has been identified as Ajay Bag, a resident of West Bengal, who was working in Bhubaneswar as a house painter.
