Bhubaneswar: Even though the weather across Odisha will remain dry, cold wave conditions will prevail over several districts in the next 24 hours, predicted India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday.

Cold wave conditions are likely to prevail in the districts of Angul, Sonepur, Jharsuguda, Deogarh, and Bolangir between January 26 and 27.

As per the latest IMD bulletin, light to moderate rain or thundershower is likely to occur at one or two places in the districts of Cuttack, Angul, Dhenkanal, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jharsuguda, Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar from January 28 to January 29.

Similarly, the districts of Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Keonjhar, Bhadrak, Jajpur and Kendrapara will also experience light to moderate rain or thundershower between January 29 and January 30.

Meanwhile, normal life in several places in Kalahandi and Kandhamal in south interior Odisha was adversely affected due to dense fog today.

There has been a considerable drop in the minimum temperature by at least one or two degrees Celsius below the normal mark in some places in the State. Titlagarh recorded a highest temperature of 31 degrees Celsius while Angul and Sonepur districts recorded the lowest temperature of 8 degrees Celsius today.
