Bhubaneswar: Amid plunging of the mercury in Odisha, several parts of the State are set to experience rainfall for a period of two days from November 12.

As per the latest bulletin issued by India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) Regional Centre in Bhubaneswar, light to moderate rain or thundershower is likely to occur at one or two places in the districts of coastal Odisha (between November 11 and 12).

Light to moderate rain or thundershower is also likely to occur in the districts of south coastal Odisha, Malkangiri, Koraput and Rayagada between November 12 and November 13. The weather in other parts of the State will remain dry, the IMD bulletin read.

Meanwhile, almost all parts of the State have begun to witness a sharp fall in the temperature for the first time this season. At least 9 places recorded minimum temperature below 15 degrees in the past 24 hours.

Lowest minimum temperature of 9.6 degree Celsius was recoded in Sonepur followed by Angul with 11 degree Celsius. Baripada recorded 14.2 degree Celsius, Sambalpur (14.7), Jharsuguda (13) and Bhawanipatna (12.2).

Capital city Bhubaneswar registered 18.0 degree Celsius while Cuttack recorded 16.8 degree Celsius.
