Bhubaneswar: Several parts of Odisha are likely to recieve rainfall and thunderstorm in the next two days.

As per the Regional Centre of the India Meteorological Department in Bhubaneswar, a cyclonic circulation over Coastal Andhra Pradesh & neighbourhood now lies over north Coastal Andhra Pradesh & neighbourhood between 1.5 & 3.1 km above mean sea level.

Under its impact, light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Nabarangpur, Malkangiri, Koraput, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Gajapati & Bolangir and light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the rest districts of Odisha.

The weather forecast has been issued till 8.30 am of February 20.

Yellow warning has been issued for the districts of Nabarangpur, Malkangiri, Koraput, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Gajapati, Bolangir, Ganjam & Sonepur during the period.

Similarly, light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Nawarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and dry weather most likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha between 8.30 am of February 20 and 8.30 am of February 21.

The Met Centre informed that light to moderate rain/thundershower has occurred at many places over the districts of South Interior Odisha & at one or two places over North Interior and South Coastal Odisha. Apart from that, the weather has been dry over the rest districts of the State.

Minimum temperatures observed markedly rise at one or two places over the districts of Interior Odisha, appreciable rise at many places over the districts of North Coastal region, at a few places over the South Interior districts, at one or two places over the North Interior districts. But no large changes were seen elsewhere over the districts of Odisha

The highest maximum temperature of 34.4 degree Celsius was recorded at Bolangir and the lowest minimum temperature of 13 degree Celsius was recorded at Sundargarh in the plains of Odisha.
