Bhubaneswar: After witnessing a steep rise in the day temperature for the past couple of days, several parts of Odisha will experience rain and thunderstorm activities till March 23, predicted India Meteorological Department on Thursday.

As per the IMD, yellow warning for thunderstorm and lightning has also been issued for several districts in the State.

“There will be no large change in maximum temperature (Day temperature) over the districts of Odisha during next 4-5 days. The maximum temperature will be above normal by 2-3 degree Celsius at a few places in Odisha during the next 4-5 days,” said IMD.

Here is the complete weather outlook for the next few days:

Day 1 (valid from 1330 hrs IST of 18.03.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 19.03.2021)

Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Koraput, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Boudh, Ganjam and Angul.

Day 2 (valid from 1330 hrs IST of 19.03.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 20.03.2021)

Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Sonepur, Boudh, Kandhamal, Deogarh, Angul and Mayurbhanj.

Yellow Warning: Thunderstorm with lightning likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Angul, Boudh and Mayurbhanj.

Day 3 (valid from 1330 hrs IST of 20.03.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 21.03.2021)

Light to moderate rain or thundershower alert issued for the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur,Sundargarh, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Deogarh, Angul and Dhenkanal.

Yellow Warning(To be updated): Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur and Kendrapara.

Day 4 (valid from 1330 hrs IST of 21.03.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 22.03.2021)

Moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Koraput, Malkangiri, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, KandhamaL

Day 4 (valid from 1330 hrs IST of 22.03.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 23.03.2021)

Light to moderate rain or thundershower likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Bolangir, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Kalahandi, Rayagada.
