Bhubaneswar: Union Petrolium Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursday launched the much-awaited facility of unreserved railway tickets printed in Odia language and also flagged off newly modified Bhubaneswar-New Delhi Rajdhani Express featuring Odisha’s art, heritage and culture from Bhubaneswar railway station.

Expressing gratitude towards the Ministry of Railways, Pradhan said that the new facility of tickets in Odia will be available at 317 stations under the jurisdictions of East Coast Railway, South Eastern Railway & South East Central Railway across the State.

People of the State who used to face problems with reading English & Hindi languages on train tickets and who did not know if they had the right tickets or their intended originating and destination stations as well as class of travel and train type are correct or not, will now be benefited by the decision.

Similarly, Pradhan also rolled out Rajdhani Express between Bhubaneswar and New Delhi featuring beautiful murals with designs of various folk dance forms, archaeological monuments, flora and fauna, tourism and traditional art of the state designed on vinyl wrapping sheets. The new display will now be seen on all the three pairs of the superfast express between the State and national capital. State aluminium major NALCO had earlier informed that it would pay the cost of beautification of the Rajdhani trains.

Informing about the new initiative, Pradhan said, "The joint venture of Ministry of Railways and NALCO will help promote the State's art, heritage and culture at national level in a better way."

“Odisha's vibrant art, culture and heritage will now be showcased on the exteriors of the BBSR- NDLS Rajdhani Express. The beautiful display of Odisha's dance forms, stunning architecture, flora and fauna will further help in promoting tourism and culture of Odisha,” tweeted Pradhan.
