Puri: Even after more than 12 hours, police are yet to nab the accused involved in the triple murder at Pattnaikiya Chhak in Puri district. Though a complaint has been filed alleging involvement of seven persons in the gruesome murders on Sunday afternoon, no one has been arrested so far.

As per reports, the police late last night detained four persons for interrogation but no breakthrough in the case has been achieved yet.

On the other hand, tension continues to prevail in the area as locals demand immediate arrest of the accused. Yesterday, the locals staged a road blockade on the National Highway connecting Puri-Bhubaneswar for around two hours following the murders. Later, the blockade was withdrawn after police intervened and assured of action.

It is pertinent to mention that Krushna Behera, Purna Behera and Panchu Behera of Sadanadapur village were brutally murdered with sharp weapons by some miscreants in broad daylight near the the Pattnaikiya Chhak on Sunday afternoon.

Though the motive is yet to be ascertained, dispute over property is suspected to be reason behind the triple murder.
