Puri: Tourists and devotees will soon get to know more about the rituals, artifacts, culture, historical facts and traditions of Puri Srimandir as an 'Interpretation Centre' at Jagannath Ballabh will be ready within a year, informed Gajapati Maharaj Dibyasingha Deb at a meeting held today. Official sources said Rs 5 crore has been allotted for the Interpretation Centre.

The Gajapati informed that the renovation work at the temple's Niladri Vihar museum is also being undertaken simultaneously while all the works are being executed under the supervision of researchers to minimize any errors.

Gajapati Dibyasingha Deb said "The construction work of the Interpretation Centre is almost complete while the renovation work at the Niladri Vihar museum is going on in full swing. A discussion was also held to finalise the exhibits and displays to be put up at the centre for the tourists."

Sri Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) chief administrator, Pradeep Kumar Mohapatra said "The Interpretation Centre will house all information about rituals, culture, Rath Yatra and other festivals of Srimandir."

"The rituals, traditions, historical facts and other important festivals of the Srimandir will be displayed through detailed presentations at the Interpretation Centre," said Professor Harekrushna Satpathy, Former VC, Tirupati Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha.
