Cuttack: The Cuttack Chamber of Commerce today informed that it would provide a financial assistance of Rs 50,000 to the families of the two Odia CRPF jawans who lost their lives in the ghastly attack in Pulwama.

"We have decided to provide an assistance of Rs 50,000 each to the families of the martyred jawans' of Odisha," said Prasana Patra, Joint Secretary of Cuttack Chamber of Commerce.

The traders' body also extended its support to the nationwide protest on February 18 called by the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) to protest and pay rich tributes to the CRPF jawans who were martyred in the Pulwama terror attack.

Meanwhile, the Sambalpur chamber of commerce today informed that the bandh will be observed from 7 am to 4 pm in a peaceful manner but normal life will not be affected due to the shut down.

"The bandh will be observed as a mark of tribute to the martrys," said Arun Patwari, President of Sambalpur Chamber of Commerce.

Earlier on Saturday, the Federation of All Odisha Traders’ Association (FAOTA) had extended its support to the nationwide protest call of CAIT.
