Jagatsinghpur: Members of Naba Nirman Krushak Sangathan (NNKS) on Monday opposed Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik's visit to Jagatsinghpur as a mark of protest against their unfulfilled demands.

While the CM and BJD president was returning to his helipad after addressing  an election rally  held at Nabakrushna Choudhury stadium in Jagatsinghpur, NNKS's state  co-coordinator Rasmhi Ranjan Swain opposed the CM and tired to lie down in front of the latter's carcade as a mark of protest over non-fulfilment of various demands of the farmers of the state.
However, the police intervened & got hold of Swain in time to prevent him from coming in front of CM's carcade.

Swain also shouted slogan against Naveen branding him anti-farmer.

"The state government is not paying heed to the demands of the farmers and torturing them due to which I was forced to take such a step," said Swain.
