Property worth lakhs gutted in fire mishap in Sonepur

Sonepur: Firecrackers bursted during a wedding procession gutted a residential house last night in Kenjiriapalli village under Biramaharajpur block of Sonepur district, destroying property worth lakhs of rupees.

According to reports, during a wedding procession in the village between 11 PM  to 12 PM last night, a firecracker fell into the house of one Tapan Pradhan. Subsequently, two rooms filled with various items were destroyed.

There were no reports of any injury to the inhabitants as they rushed outside the house after noticing the flames. By the time some locals and the family members attempted to bring the fire under control, the rooms were gutted completely.
