Promotions of Odisha Govt Employees To Be Cleared By Dec 31

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has directed all departments to complete promotion-related works by December 31 and grant promotions to eligible State government officials by January 1.

The CM has directed the concerned officials at the district and State levels to send a report regarding the steps taken in this regard to the chief secretary by December 31 evening.

Expressing his disappointment over the inordinate delay in clearing promotions of low and mid-level employees, CM Naveen said that the promotions should be approved at the earliest in a transparent manner.

He further said that timely promotion of the deserving employees encourages them to give their 100 per cent.

Meanwhile, the CM has warned that the chief of the departments will be made responsible for any delay in promotions.
