Private Hospital Raided By Health Department In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The Health Department of Odisha government conducted a raid at a city-based private hospital on Saturday.

A team led by the joint director of Health Family Welfare Department, Binod Bihari Rath, reportedly inspected different departments of the hospital including the Ultrasound and CT Scan departments.

The team verified several documents at the hospital and checked whether the hospital is adhering to the norms laid down under the Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (PCPNDT) Act, 1994.

"As a part of our routine inspection, we conducted a raid to find out whether the hospital was following the guidelines of PCPNDT Act. We verified documents of the Ultrasound department of the hospital. However, there was no violation of the PCPNDT Act guidelines," said Rath while speaking to the mediapersons after the raid.
