Nayagarh: Ahead of the third phase polls in Odisha, at least six persons were injured in a violent clash between two groups at Kalikaprasad village under Sadar Police limits in Nayagarh district on Saturday.

According to sources, three persons who sustained critical injuries during the clash were admitted to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH). Later, two persons were shifted to Bhubaneswar after their condition deteriorated.

The situation was brought under control after police team along with the IIC (Inspector-in-charge) reached the spot.

Meanwhile, in order to maintain law and order one platoon of police force has been deployed in the area.

It is pertinent to mention here that, Sambalpur, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Puri and Bhubaneswar parliamentary constituencies will go to polls in third phase elections on April 23.
