Bolangir: Senior BJP leader and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan lambasted the Odisha government alleging it of being unable to resolve even the basic issues like drinking water across the State. The union minister was addressing a conference for Other Backward Classes (OBCs) organised by the BJP at Kantabanji of Bolangir district today.
The meeting was also attended by Union Minister Ram Kripal Yadav.

Pradhan took a jibe at Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik and said "CM Naveen goes around asking 'apana mane khushi ta' and replies 'mu bahut Khushi.' He (CM) addresses people for around 1.5 minutes everywhere and those are not speeches but video recordings."

Taking up the issues faced by the OBCs in the State, Pradhan said "The government is not at all sensitive to the wellbeing of the Other Backward Classes. The development that took place in western Odisha including Bolangir was all done during the BJP regime."

"This government is embroiled in the corrupt 'percent commission' practice and no scheme can be implemented here without paying commission. The Odisha government doesn't appreciate the work done by the Modi government. There is more poverty here than Bihar," Ram Kripal Yadav said.

The party leaders prominently raised the issues of unemployment and labour migration at the OBC meet.

BJD Spokesperson Sasmit Patra said "The people of Odisha are aware of the work done by CM Naveen Patnaik in the last 19 years. They have supported us in the last four assembly elections and are preparing to do the same in the upcoming elections this year."
