Bhubaneswar: In the aftermath of cyclone Fani which left a devastating trail in Odisha, different groups have come forward and donated generously for rehabilitation & reconstruction works. Non-resident Odias of Mumbai, who came forward to extend their helping hand to the Fani victims have alleged non-cooperation by the administration of Odisha Bhawan located in the city.

As per the allegations levelled, the authorities of Odisha Bhawan refused to provide space for storing relief materials following which the members of Prabasi Odia Samaj had to keep the materials in Kerala Bhawan.

"The authorities at Odisha Bhawan refused to keep the relief materials because of which we were forced to approach Kerala Bhawan which gave us permission to store the materials," said a Prabasi Odia, Gadadhar Behera.

Reportedly, a complaint in this regard has been lodged with the National Human Rights Commission, Chief Minister's Office and the Prime Minister's Office by the Prabasi Odia Samaj. When asked about the issue, the manager of Odisha Bhawan said that they didn't have permission to allow relief materials to be kept inside the building.
