Cuttack: Trouble for Ollywood actor-turned MP Anubhav Mohanty seems to be deepening further with one more complaint lodged by his actress wife Varsha Priyadarshini at Purighat police station here on Saturday.

This time, Varsha has alleged that her husband Anubhav Mohanty prevented her entry into the bedroom on Friday night and forced her to stand alone on the road outside the in-laws residence for around one hour.

In her complaint, she mentioned that Anubhav and two of his associates locked her room and barred her from entering the house on Friday night. Varsha stated that her husband has not allowed her to stay in the in-laws' house.

Following the actress' complaint, a team from Purighat police station rushed to the house of the actor and has started an investigation.

A day ago, she had also lodged a separate complaint with police, alleging that attempts are being made to malign her image. She mentioned in her complaint that a video purportedly showing the ‘ugly spat’ between her and her politician husband has been made viral on various social media sites. Varsha alleged that she has been negatively portrayed in the video intentionally to defame her.

Earlier, the actress had moved Odisha State Commission for Women (OSCW) over her ongoing marital discord on December 15.

Prior to that on December 9, she had lodged a police complaint about some offensive statements made against her on the social media platform. She had also produced the screenshots containing vulgar remarks on social media before the Purighat Police in Cuttack.

Anubhav, a BJD leader who is representing Kendrapara Lok Sabha constituency on Friday appeared before the Cuttack SDJM court and submitted his response on the domestic violence charges levelled against him by his wife.

The MP has also filed a divorce petition in a Delhi court. The court is yet to take a final call on his petition.
