Jajpur: In a bid to make headway into the missing 'Pihu' case, the police on Sunday announced a cash reward of Rs 20,000 for any information about the two-year-old minor girl.

‘Pihu’ had gone missing from her village Madhusudanpur under Binjharpur police limit in Jajpur district in August last year.

According to reports, Binjharpur police have put up posters at different places and announced cash reward of Rs 20,000 for providing information about the minor girl. The local police have also started drying up ponds near the house of the missing girl to get lead into the case.

It is pertinent to mention that, two-year-old Subhalaxmi Nayak, aka Pihu from Madhusudanpur village has been missing for more than five months.

The probe into the case which was earlier entrusted to an Asst Sub-Inspector (ASI) level officer had been handed over to the Inspector-In-Charge (IIC) of Binjharpur police station.
