Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Thursday issued guidelines and schedule for the post graduate (PG) spot admissions in various universities and colleges across the State.

In a letter, the Higher Education Department has asked the Chairpersons of PG Councils of all state public universities, controller of examinations and principals of Colleges to make necessary arrangements for the spot admission process.

As per an official notification, the Common Application Form (CAF) will be available online for spot admissions from January 9, 2021.

The last date is January 12 and merit list will be published (three times of the vacancies) on January 15.

The following categories of candidates are eligible to apply online through CAF:

1- Candidates who were previously selected and taken admissions and /or previously selected but not taken admissions in 1st, 2nd and 3rd selection.

2- Candidates who have appeared CPET-2020, but not selected in 1st, 2nd and 3rd selection.

3- Candidates who appeared CPET-2020, but not uploaded the graduation mark for some reasons within the stipulated time.

4-There is no need of depositing CAF fees. Those who failed to deposit CAF fees and were allowed to appear CPET-2020, they will have to deposit CAF fees during admission at selected universities, colleges.

5-The candidates may provide fresh option for the institutions , where s/he wants to take admissions in order of preference. The candidates can apply for the subject, in which they had appeared the entrance exam (CPET-2020).

6-Selection will be done on merit (career mark+ CPET mark)

7-There will be no slide up option.

8-After the date of admissions (January 22,2021), if some vacancies persist. then universities and colleges are authorities to fill up the vacancies out of the candidates who had reported during the reporting periods and the admission process may continue till January 31.

Candidates seeking the Spot Admissions will be given maximum seven days to submit the University Leaving Certificate/ College Leaving Certificate) from their earlier Universities/Colleges. They will be asked to submit undertaking and allowed to take admission. ln case, the candidate submits the migration certificate instead of CLC or ULC that must be accepted.
