Berhampur: A Panchayat Executive Officer (PEO) of Singipur panchayat in Ganjam district was suspended by the district collector on charges of misappropriation of funds.

As per reports, PEO Ishak Pradhan allegedly embezzled money worth Rs 4,43,228 allotted for government projects in the panchayat.
The collector has reportedly directed Ishak to remain under suspension until he furnishes all the relevant facts pertaining to the money.

Ishak has also been directed to log his attendance daily at the sub-collector’s office till further instructions.
