Bhubaneswar: The weekly ‘Patha Utsav’ event was held in the State Capital today amidst a toned down celebrations as a tribute to the martyred jawans of Pulwama attack. A two-minute silence was also observed at the start of the event to pray for the departed souls.

"The people across the country are in a state of shock and have condemned the Pulwama attack. Every Indian now stands together against such evils in the society," said a local resident.

In another development, the music of upcoming Odia film 'Champion' was released during the event. The whole team of 'Champion' wanted to pay tributes to the martyred jawans in place of the film promotion today, said actress Archita Sahu.

"We sang today as a mark of respect to the martyred CRPF jawans. The support for the jawans and the bereaved families upholds the principle of 'unity in diversity' in our country," said singer Asima Panda.

The Patha Utsav event was also attended by Tourism and Culture Minister Ashok Panda and other dignitaries.
