OUAT Assistant Professor Biswadeep Jena Tops National-level PhD Entrance Test

Bhubaneswar: Bringing laurels for the State, Biswadip Jena, an Assistant professor of Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) has secured top position in the general category of the national-level PhD entrance test conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

Expressing happiness over his success Jena said, “I am elated that I secured the first position in the general category of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research PhD entrance examination. I utilised the lockdown period wisely. Despite all odds, I used to go to the institute and study for the test which has yielded the results."

Jena is a gold medalist at national-level conclave for his advanced treatment to the snakes and has set many milestones in the State as well as in the country by performing many critical surgeries on the wild animals.

Besides, he is credited to being the first veterinary doctor in the country who has conducted CT Scan on all kind of reptiles.
