Bhubaneswar: The second wave of Covid pandemic continues to batter the entire country rendering insurmountable loss to life and livelihood of countless people. Even more heart-rending scenes are those where this monstrous disease has not spared to infect or wipe out an entire family.

Odisha too is facing the scourge of this new tsunami of the infections caused by SARS-CoV2 that has been claiming more than a dozen lives day in day out and infecting around 10K people daily.

Thousands of people continue to battle with the disease in hospitals whereas there are many who are forced to spend their days in quarantine facilities due to mild infections.

It can be said that for many such people, nothing beats the efforts in arranging them a meal a day and a shoulder to which they can cling on in this moment of crisis.

There are many such organizations which are now no less than guardian angels for such Pandemic hit people.

As a responsible organization and State’s premier media house, OTV Network Limited too has decided to lend a helping hand to the aggrieved people.

With a noble aim, OTV is all set to launch its month-long initiative OTV Cares – Apana Eka Nuhanti from May 5, tomorrow. Under this drive, the premier electronic media house will ensure free food for Covid patients in the Twin Cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar.

OTV has decided to tie up with three other voluntary organizations – Swapno Foundation of Cuttack, KZSVS, and AshaKiran in Bhubaneswar.
