Koraput: A day after OTV telecast a report regarding Andhra Pradesh resuming its meddling in the affairs of Kotia Panchayat of Odisha, the State government today sprung into action and announced its plan to speed up developmental works in the area.

A four-member team of the district administration that visited Kotia village today informed that soon a police station, hospital and high school will be established in the area.

Koraput sub-collector, Lalit Kanhar said site for the proposed 10-beded hospital has already been identified.

“We had visited Kotia and inspected the proposed sites for the hospital, police station and other developmental projects,” said Kanhar.

Earlier, OTV had reported about neighbouring Andhra Pradesh government resuming its developmental works in the Kotia panchayat of Odisha.

A ground report by OTV revealed that despite a high-level team of the Odisha Government visiting Kotia cluster of villages and taking stock of the welfare schemes in the region six months ago, not a single effort has been made for the development of the region.
